1st Submission Video

This is my 1st video Submission. There was a problem with the Batch Render as you can see on the body of the mouse, around the Logo, it is black with white dots. This doesn't appear when I render the images individually, but only when i Batch Render.
I will have to find a way around this problem in the next few days.

Arm idea

This image gave me the idea of how my robots arms should be and the way they will move.

This is mainly for the shoulder joint and I went from there.

Kill Bill sword research pics

I used these pictures to model my robot's sword. I decided to use this because I like the shape and design as a whole of this sword.

I also like the film :)

...Getting there...

This is what I have so far...

I will be adding pipes to the sides and back of the robot that also go around to the front.
I am currently working on those.

I am also working around the pivot point, making sure they are ready for the first animation sequence.

not going to be needing this...

I modelled a chip from inside a old mouse. I wanted to see if it will fit somewhere on my robot, but did not like the look of the chip. I modelled a high-poly at first and then realised that it was unnecessary to do that because I can just model a low poly version as it does not need much detail.
The chip on the left is the low poly which I was going to use, but I have opted not to use a chip.
I also textured it, but still doesn't fit my robot.

Robot's Neck

Here is an up close of the Robot's Neck.
It is still in the development stages as you can see; I have not split the ends up. I am still contemplating whether or not do split them up. I like it the way it is.

Ideas for Head/Neck

This is an idea to have, what will be the head of the robot, attached to the spiral (neck). Then ends of the neck will split away from each other, thus each attaching to the ends of the head.

This is a rough idea of having the shield of the body attached to the body of the robot.
This is achieved with 4 clips, which are attached to pipes leading to the robot's body.

Here I want to add more pipes, hoping to make the robot look more like...well...a robot! ;)

sketches...

Here are a few ideas for the robot body parts...

The arms are made up of parts that allow the whole arm to
rotate in every direction...like a normal human arm.

Here is the robot Leg with the mouse wheel

This is the mouse wheel with the gear attached to it.

This is what the robot will look like so far.

Robot Arms

For the arms, I decided to not have arms but let the robot have weapons. For the right arm, I modelled one of my favourite swords; from the film Kill Bill. I used a reference image and set it up on an image plane.

For the left arm, I loved the idea of having a "slasher" light arm. I got this idea from watching the discovery channel. I saw this huge machine chopping wood. The saw looked similar to this. I drew a few sketches.

Here are the original sketches...

Robot "Leg/Mouse Wheel"

Here is a up close of the robots mobility tool. It is the mouse's roller wheel.
Here I also modelled a gear, which is connected to the mouse wheel, just like real computer mice are.

For the Robot to be allowed to be mobile. I decided to let him have only one "leg".
I've decided to keep it simple for now.

Robot Shields

Here I used the side buttons of the mouse and duplicated them several times to create a Shield effect, which will then be used as armour for the robots arms and back.

Metal/Rope problem...

I spent a few hours today trying to figure out how to create this effect.
Took me ages, but finally got it looking right.
I now want to make it so it bends. I tried using a Curve and seemed to work out nicely.
I will want to use this as the robots neck.
